Colour + Light Gallery

My vision is to share our local talent in a dedicated space and for Colour + Light Gallery to be somewhere anyone who walks in feels like this is a place for them!

I also want people to know that they can come to classes to get creative, try something new, nurture themselves or their children.

It’s somewhere that locals and visitors can come and see what’s on offer, fall in love with something (or more than one something!) and take it home. Somewhere, they can find things to add heart to their home or give someone they love a piece of amazingness!!

About Belinda

Born and raised in South Otago, I returned home after living away since the end of high school. After a varied career in everything from radio to teaching, I took some time for myself to grow my creativity. I completed a BVA at Otago Polytechnic, Dunedin School of Art.

When I first moved home, I wanted to connect with like-minded people and looked around at the various groups in the area. To my joy, I found that South Otago had an amazing range of creative talent in the area that often goes unseen by locals and visitors alike.

Meet our local artists and explore their stories.

“I believe that everyone is creative in some way - you just need a chance to let it shine through!”

I also believe that it’s a really important part of our lives as humans, nourishing and feeding us. (Ok, that’s a bit woo-woo) That’s why I’m offering creative classes for adults and children.

A chance to experiment, try something new and feel the joy of making.
